can't eat chametz, can't feed it to animals or birds.

Bi'ar Chametz - destroying/removing chametz can only be done by burning, says R. Yehudah

but others say it can be just thrown away, 

into the wind 

or crumbled into the sea.

the fish and birds probably don't have a problem with that....
